Meet the Team
Debbie is a San Diego native who has spent her entire life living in the Golden State. She earned a PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has a background in teaching, research, and nonprofit management. Debbie got her first taste of entrepreneurship when she spear-headed a neighborhood farmers market. The satisfaction gained from serving families and communities led her to becoming a Jovie owner. She is honored to provide Poway and surrounding areas with top-notch, customized childcare solutions. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys exploring beaches, mountains, and trips to Baja, Mexico with her husband and German shepherd dogs.
Sarah started with CNS Poway as a nanny and sitter, and eventually expanded her role into administration. Sarah enjoys working with a variety of families, with a particular fondness for those with special needs. She looks forward to helping even more families in her new role as assistant general manager. Sarah holds a BA in Psychology and MA in Clinical Counseling. As part of her graduate program, she spent a year as a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee with low-income youth. A native of San Diego, Sarah lives in Poway with her husband and two cats, Toby and Cinderella.
